Hello, I’m Narayan Khadka

As a cosmologist, I use astrophysical observations to explore fundamental questions about the Universe. I am currently involved in the Rubin observations as an observing specialist. I also develop simulations and analysis pipelines to support observational projects. I contribute to large collaborations such as LSST-DESC, focusing on strong gravitational lensing and leveraging these efforts to advance our understanding of the expansion history of the Universe. In my free time, I enjoy painting and playing soccer.

Research

My research focuses on strong gravitational lensing, cosmology, and the LSST-DESC collaboration. I develop simulations and analysis pipelines to explore the nature of dark energy, dark matter, and the expansion rate of the universe.

Teaching

I enjoy mentoring and teaching students in physics and astronomy. My experience includes teaching undergraduate courses, leading workshops, and supervising student research projects.

Software

I develop and maintain software pipelines for strong lensing simulations and cosmological analyses. My contributions include the SLSim pipeline for simulating lens populations and training machine learning models for lens discovery and inference.
